collaborators matter.
Suzanne's style and philosophy have developed over the years as she's studied with Maria Mazziotti Gillan, Cornelius Eady, and Dzvinia Orlowsky. It is not her aim to replicate, but to help a writer articulate a particular perspective in the most effective way. That may include artistic risk, it may not. It depends on the writer.
Suzanne's first full-length poetry manuscript Motherload is forthcoming from Jane's Boy Press.
Suzanne is currently revamping a self-published book which she stylized and laid out. As her style has evolved, so must her book. Let her help you take your writing from idea to reality.

After Attending Suzanne's Contemplative Writing Presentation at the Latino Authors and Writers Society, July 20, 2012:
I had a great time. I was really tired; work and tiredness were going to keep me from going. I loved what the speaker, Suzanne, had to say. By the end of the time, I was energized; by just listening to her. I even wanted to go out for more tea - afterwards! I got so many ideas about the writing process and how to open the channels of my creative mind; that I went home and wrote and wrote. It lasted through the morning. I woke up early and wrote and wrote for three hours straight.

Suzanne Rae Deshchidn provided an invaluable critique of my manuscript that included many excellent suggestions on making my dialog more realistic, especially the internal dialog of my first person narrator. She has keen psychological insight and a poet's deft way with words. Her fine-tuning of The Defilers greatly contributed to its going from a second place in the 2004 Best New Canadian Christian Fiction contest to first place in 2005.
